Counseling

Mission
The counseling department at Cesar Chavez Elementary works as a team with staff, students, families, and the community. We collaborate to create and maintain a safe learning environment that promotes and supports healthy interactions through social-emotional learning and academic success for all students now, in college, in careers, and beyond.
Vision
Our Vision is to empower students with self-awareness in how their actions impact those around them as they develop empathy, compassion, and confidence as lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and leaders in their communities.

Ms. Lupold's Bio:
Hello! My name is Ann Lupold. I am so fortunate to be your school counselor. It is my privilege to serve the students of Cesar Chavez! I believe that our students should be supported socially and emotionally while encouraging their academic growth.
Professionally, my goal is to help students develop a growth mindset, build social skills, and maintain healthy interpersonal relationships while presenting them with career and college goals. I am very excited to witness our students blossom into citizens of their community.

Ms. Guerrero's Bio:
This is my 8th year as an elementary school counselor and my second year at Cesar Chavez Elementary. I grew up in Arkansas as the youngest of 6 children. I earned my bachelor's degree from BYU and my master's from UTA. Outside of my work life, I love to spend time with my family, play board/card games, dance, read, and do yard work. My husband and I have 3 children and a son-in-law.
I believe that building healthy relationships is a foundational key to success. I am dedicated to working with students, parents, staff, and community members to see the “whole child” as we help students with their social, emotional, and academic needs.
